If you have a CSV file saved with your recipe data, you can easily import your recipes into the WP Delicious Recipes plugin without any data loss using its CSV import functionality.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to import your recipes from a CSV file:
- Ensure that the WP Delicious Recipes plugin is installed and activated on your website.
- Navigate to WP Delicious Recipes > Import Recipes. You will find the CSV import option there.

- It is highly recommended to take a full backup of your site before proceeding with the import. Alternatively, you can create a staging site for testing and import your recipes there first.
- Click on Proceed to Next Step, and you will be prompted to upload your CSV file containing your recipe data.

- In the Fields Mapping section, map the columns from your CSV file to the respective fields in the Delicious Recipes plugin. This step ensures that your recipe information, such as title, taxonomies, images, and more, is imported correctly.

- Once the fields are mapped, all the recipes will be imported. Depending on the number of recipes in your CSV file, the import may take a sometimes. Please be patient while the plugin processes your file.
- Once the import is successful, you will see a success message confirming that your recipes have been imported.

- All the imported recipes are saved as drafts. You can make the necessary changes and publish them.
If you want to display your posts on the homepage, you can refer to this guide.
To ensure uniformity in the image sizes, it is recommended to regenerate your thumbnails after the import. You can use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin for this task.
